I love to make music for theater, voices, instruments and anything else that makes sound and silence. I am a company member at Wonderlust Productions where I compose and music-direct with communities. Nautilus’ Composer Librettist Studio and Wesley Balk Opera Music Theater Institute, Cornerstone Theater Company’s Institute, and several years study with composer Libby Larsen were foundational experiences in my artistic journey. Wonderlust Productions, Cornerstone Theater Company, Nautilus Music Theater, Ten Thousand Things Theater, Geva Theater, the Playwright’s Center and others have performed my work. Theatrical scores include settings of Brecht, Aeschylus, and several living playwrights, Alison Carey, Alan Berks, Michael John Garcés, Naomi Wallace, Eric Ehn, Page Leong and Dan O’Brien among them. I co-founded theWest Side Theater Project, collaborating with director Harry Waters Jr, and with the support of Nautilus Music-Theater, playwright Al Justiniano of Teatro del Pueblo, to create three community-engaged theater Productions in 2009, 2010 and 2012.
